Text messaging on Sony Xperia X

When I get a text message on my lock screen it says contents hidden. I want to see the name of the person that's texts me with the message hidden. Also notifications for social media apps show on notification bar at top but I want if to say like the number of notifications on the actual app short cut like the number 1 in the corner! I need help!!

Settings > Sound & notification > When device is locked > Show all notification content

As for the other topic, you need a third party app, check the playstore

I see my texts and I also use print and pin?

I'm not wanting to see the full message on my home.screen just the person that's sent it it just says new message content hidden

Ok change to "show all content" as @uliwooly said then change screen unlock to swipe. Reboot phone
Test to see if messages now show content and then re-apply print / pin security.

It's showing content but I only want to see who it's from not the message on the lock screen

Yeah, stuff like that needs custom launchers and possibly root
