Phonepad mode problem E5353

As I type inside this text box, I have to tilt switch to full querty which i never prefer. it's a problem every time I type on chrome text boxes because word suggestions don't work on phonepad mode. It turned out this way after the marshmallow upgrade.

There's an error with the video, could you test it in >>> safe mode

Thanks, did it but same result in safe mode... meaning no conflict.

I can now type error-free on phonepad mode. I don't know how but I haven't used the Xperia companion yet for the reason that I have been putting off for a while until I prep save everything to sd before doing so. I didn't know the problem just disappeared when I once typed in Google search box and now flawlessly in this comment box. I guess it must be an update with one of the apps that solved it. Just the same, my thanks to you ulywooly for taking the time finding solutions .
