Engineering Mode

So does anyone know how I can enter engineering Mode in Xperia Z5 compact? I have been having problems with the... It is really quite and when I make calls the person im speaking to they barely can hear me. Plz help.

Are you talking about developer options or system tuner? Anyway, what settings do you want to change? I am not aware of call settings there.

Hi @ADevotedFan,

As far as I know there is no setting called "Engineering Mode". Could you tell us a little more about what you need help with?

If there is low volume for the counterpart during calls, try testing the microphone in Diagnostics. Go to Settings > About phone > Test > Microphone. Are you experiencing the same thing here as well?

Yes I have done the test about 5 times and the mic is really quite. I tested my old Xperia sp and the difference is like day and night. I dont think it is a hardware problem because this phenomenon started when I updated to marshmallow latest build.Plz give me ur opinion on this.

Hi there, you could try with *#*#service#*#* there you will find more hardware related tests, if the tests pass as successful and you are satisfied with the voice volume you record, then you may have a fault in the OS and maybe a software repair can fix it for you. Also, did you try changing different calls audio settings?

OK guys ty for the tips I did an OS repair with flashtool and it worked fantastic. Sony really though needs to fix bugs like that.
