Fingerprint scanner suddenly doesn't work properly

I just bought the x compact for 4 days and the Fingerprint scanner works just fine until today it suddenly doesn't recognize my finger at all and when i try to re-setup my finger it doesn't let me and always says that my finger is damped(while its not), clean the sensor (while it's as clean as new) but somehow i manage to set up some dinger after 100 try, but it's not work properly like bedore it will aome time recognize my finger like 1/10 times. I did do the service test and it show as okay. What's wrong

try to remove all fingerprint setups, restart the device and clean the sensor,

re setup the fingerprints.

here's some tips:

1.) register twice the most common print you use,

2.) find a part of your fingerprint with most prounouced lines, that is still comfortable to unlock the phone, for me I use the lower part of my thumb almost to the joint.

3.) try to test the fingerprint while you are on safe mode

Hi @Didd,

I'm very sorry to hear you are having some trouble with your new Xperia X Compact.

I'd recommend that you start with what @nolramlb suggested and remove and setup your fingerprints again. Is there any change if you try what he suggested?

Before registering any of the fingerprints again, use a clean, dry cloth to wipe of the power key (the sensor) as well as your finger.

There are also a few thing that can affect how well the sensor recognizes your fingerprint. For starters, make sure there isn't any dent or scratch in the phone and there isn't anything blocking the sensor.

What can also affect the sensor is the general condition of your skin, such as dryness and cuts. The using of lotions and oils as well as sweating can also cause the sensor to not recognize your finger.

Hello, I did try what @nolramlb suggested. It work better now i can register and unlock my phone with 1/3 of a try but still not as good as day one which i want it to be. Any more suggestions that would help? Thanks.

Look like turn off smart lock help a lot. Well i can live without it.
