Safe mode won't operate

Trying to find out why smart unlock doesn't work properly so tried to use safe mode. Phone starts to boot in safe mode but then restarts out of safe mode every time. Can't get it into safe mode.

Hi @iandhjolliffe, that sounds odd.

When you try to go into safe mode, do you choose to reboot into safe mode from the on/off menue or do you keep volume down (-) pressed during boot?

Could you elaborate on in which way smart lock isn't working properly?

Tried both. Same both ways. Starts up then restarts in normal mode. Safe place, face and motion not working.

In that case I suggest that you perform a software repair using Xperia Companion. If possible you should also test the smart lock features before restoring any backup to your phone.
