No support or service after purchase

When I got my X5 in the US,they said I could send it in 4 support,but I tried to send it for a warrant fix but they declined to fix it since the screen was cracked and they aren't going to fix it and they don't have any technicians, and if I fix on my own,the warranty is void.. In short if u buy the 4n and it malfunctions or drops just after u open it its garbage, so sad lesson learnt,and they have no physical shop/store/contact anywhere in the USA.now I know why almost everyone uses the USA use the iPhone and y thez no carrier with them..

I'm sorry to hear about your issue, but that's not quite accurate, if you buy a phone here in the US it will have warranty and you could buy a damage warranty, so it will cover everything for a year or two, everything but theft/lost; with that said, if you dropped the phone and cracked the screen, it won't be cover by warranty, you will have to pay for it to be repaired.

U don't get it,the warranty doesn't cover damages,and bcoz of the cracked screen I can't hv my damage under repair carried out,worse still they won't fix the screen and if u take it to a 3Rd party vendor the warrant is void..thats the predicament

That's what I said, warranty won't cover this, you will have to pay out of your pocket for Sony to repair it or you could DIY which will be cheaper but will void the warranty. This is the same with other companies, even apple, if you crack the screen you have to pay to get it repaired.

Paying isn't the issue,they won't fix it even if I pay,they only accept in warrant repairs, they don't have any service centres or shops for accessories like screens, told me to check amazon

That's odd, did you puchased the phone through amazon? bestbuy? or directly from Sony? did you contacted Sony through this

Yeah I did and they gave me a case number even a specialist who told me it's policy blablabla..but that my phone is covered under USA warranty..I got it from their site thru amazon... #Seems ur not in the US

With Diy the problem is they might not be able to fix the warranty issue as its got to do with reliability,plus Sony is not a favourite esp here in the south it's a nightmare in a lonely island

Similar thing happened to me. Don't expect much of sony after purchasing your device.

My Z5 won't connect to wifi and when i sent it for repair here in The UK, they said the screen is damaged (though the screen is working just fine and no cracks, nothing, brand new), so they refused to repair it saying that if your screen is damaged, your warranty doesn't cover the repair. I asked them what does the wifi have to do with the screen?! And they repeated the same lame excuse.

So, yeah, try to sell yours and buy Iphone or Samsung, at least they have different physical branches and repair shops around.
