Sony z5 headphone jack not working

Hi. I have been using a Sony xperia z5 premium for about 8 months now. Recently I allowed myself to download sony's new update. Right before installing it, I realised that the phone was unable to recognise the headphones Everytime it was plugged in. Not thinking much of it, I installed the software, thinking that it would fix the problem, but to no avail. I have already tried clearing data for smart connect but it persists. Any advice or similar problems as well?

I have the same problem. After a sw update of the Android system I have not been able to use headphones.
I send my phone for repair, and got a new phone. It wanted to update android and I accepted that.
Now my headphones don't work again. 😞
Why is there not a solution for this problem? So many people has this issue!
