Not able to make a security code for my phone

When I go into settings security and then screen lock I get the message that settings have stopped, then I have to click on ok. This also happends after I start the phone in safe mode. I have done a software repair at least 7 times, and im getting tired of it now lol. After updating to android 6 i had nothing but problems with this phone.

can you try to reinstall Xperia Companion and or use another PC to perfrom the software repair using Xperia Companion

did you install or modified the firmware of the device before?

LOL sony messed up real big time, are they even bothering making patch fix for marshmallow..sooo many bugs and they are doing nothing..

720 did you try a software repair? Before saying that Sony messed up, do you know that 99.99% of Android devices stop working probably after a major software update?

The problem is not Xperia, not even Motorola, Samsung and go on.. The issue is in Android itself.

Even I am facing the same Issue, Camera is become worst, I am not able to change my pattern and not able to remove device admin. today proximity sensor started acting weird. I think i am not coming back to android again or at least for god sake to Sony. I understand today why apple is best.

Please fix these problem through update

Did you try in safe mode or after a software repair using XC? Android usually play very fair after you do a software repair. And yes, Apple is using a proprietary OS based on UNIX, not Linux, which requires more funds hence the price of the iPhone however the quality of Apple phones is not that premium compared to some Sony, Samsung or other OEMs.

Yes I tried safe mode but same issue is happening again. Now I will try once software repair too.

nothing has changed but now i can't even put a pattern lock and proxmity sensor issue is also there.

But why do they give out a new Android version that does not work as it should. They should test it more before releaseing it.

I will suggest you to go to your Local Service Center and ask them to update your device with the stable software and believe me your phone will become more fast. It's my personal experience because I was facing the same issue but after getting the phone back from the Service Centre, my phone work like a lion. Sony Centre have stable software i think so.
