Z3 virtual buttons stopped working

After the 6.0.1 update, my virtual buttons do not work properly anymore.

It's not a touchscreen malfunction. The region works fine when the area is filled with other functions.

I already did the software's repair, but it still not functional.

Help me, please!

(my model is a D6633 - Z3 Dual)

Did you try in safe mode? Can you try with a different launcher?

Also, when you say it doesn't work properly, what is that happen exactly?

Hi @PabloLopes,

With "virtual buttons", do you mean the three buttons at the bottom of the display (back, home, latest apps)?

Have you installed a third party launcher? As @YoGem suggested, did you try rebooting your phone to safe mode?

After you performed the software repair, did you reinstall any apps or restore a backup before you tested to make sure these buttons use?

Hi,

here the same problem 2 weeks ago after update to update to 6.0.1

I did already sofware repair. did not help

I did save mode. did not help

the screen works fine if in the same area other things are visual. like the unlock button, the camera button and the micro button.

for this reason I'don't believe it is a hardware problem.

by the way it is one of the 2 company phones we have..... they got the same problem on the same time after update!

Sony, please help!

Hi @jack-jsg,

Have you checked the test for Display in Diagnostics? If not I'd suggest you start there. Go to Settings > About phone > Diagnostics > Test > Display, are you able to clear the entire surface?

After you had performed the software repair, did you check if there was any change to this before you reinstalled all your apps and/or restored any of your personal data?

Are you able to re-create this each and every time you boot your phone or does it work for one minute and not work the next minute?
