Keyboard issue

Whether it be using SwiftKey or any other 3rd party keyboard, when suggested word/words appear and I tap on one to add to a message, instead the letter that appears on the top row of keys underneath the suggested word/words is added instead. No matter how accurately I place my finger on the suggested word it won't select that word. I have done a factory reset and a software repair via PC companion but the issue still remains. Does this sound software related or an issue with the screen itself?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Hi @SDR-1970,

This is a strange one. Do you notice the touch is inaccurate in any other areas of your phone or is it just in the keyboard?

Do a diagnostics test on the touch screen under Settings > About Phone > Diagnostics > Test > Touch Screen.

Well do like me download the old xperia keyboard the one from sony you can download at apk mirror. com i did that and it works perfectly on my xz swifty keyboard is not working good enough do it and get rid of that problem
