When on a call screen touches by ear

When i am on a call, my ear touchrs the screen and disables/enables all sort of buttons. I would like this to stop, there was one time it actually worked fine now with this upgrade it started again. Please help asap because not all the time i can put my calls on loudspeaker.

Does your phone has a protective case, film and/or glass?

settings > about phone > diagnostics > test > test the proximity sensor

Thanks for your advice. Yes it have a screen protector on it however It passed the test....so what now?

Screen protectors can often interfere with the ear proximity sensor. As a test, is it possible for you to remove the screen protector and see if the issue persists?

I have always had screen protectors and it worked fine so i am sure it is some other issue.

It's better if you narrow down the issue, remove it and test it, or you can contact your Local support to get the phone inspected and most likely that's one of the first things they'll do.

Test it in safe mode, see if the same thing is happening. It may be a third party app using the proximity sensor process.

This is still occurring no matter what i do......
