Ok so I've had this since I've had the phone about 1 year. My girlfriend has this issue to.

Basically I use the volume buttons in the side of the phone to adjust the volume. When you do this you get a bar to adjust the volume. To the right you have a little drop down arrow that gives you the option to change media and alarm volume.

My problem is that little drop down arrow decides to dissappear for hours at a time.. Like it's missing and I have to go into the settings and do the volume there. Most of the time it's fine but now and again the drop down arrow goes on vacation.

Anyone known how to stop this wandering Off?

Ben

MAJOR IMPROVEMENTS NEEDED INSTEAD OF OS UPGRADE:

Hello everyone.
I am currently using xperia z5 premium dual. There are some of the MAJOR IMPROVEMENTS needed in this device.
( IF YOU ALL AGREE TO THESE, PLEASE RAISE ITS AWARENESS AND IMPORTANCE TO ADD TO THE WANT OF THESES FEATURES AND IMPROVEMENTS AND FOR SONY TO OPEN ITS EARS.)

BUGS FIRST:
1- there is a major problem in the volume control panel of this device. Most of the time, after closing a video app even the stock app. The arrow of the advanced volume control panel disappears. Another problem is when the headphones (sony stock or any) are plugged in and the phone is set to vibration, no doubt the phone goes in vibration mode but its volume bar appears to be at max.

2- extremely poor quality of the camera app and the pictures. Grains grains grains everywhere. Even at 23mp resolution, camera app keeps the iso at extremely low levels (320 mostly). Manual camera is the most awful in short.

THESE BUGS ARE THE MAJOR MAJOR BLUNDERS OF THIS SMARTPHONE. I mean like seriously, sony cannot even make a stable SYSTEM UI AFTER ALL THESE YEARS IN THE PHONE MARKET. Its a REAL SHAME. And there goes the camera. Why cant the biggest camera giant and the biggest CAMERA SENSOR supplier not maintain the quality of its products in its own phones. WANT A CLEAR EXAMPLE, YOU CAN COMPARE THE IMX260 EXMOR RS SENSOR OF GALAXY S7 EDGE AND THE IMX300 OF XPERIA Z5 PREMIUM...

WANTED FOR A LONG TIME FEATURED REQUESTS:::

1-when is RAW IMAGE AND FULL CAMERA2API is going to arrive on this xperia z5 premium. What is the purpose of the 4k capable screen if you cannot even produce an image of EVEN QUAD HD quality.. Premium only for screen nothing else.
2- Please change the NATIVE RESOLUTION TO QUAD HD RESOLUTION ATLEAST. Full hd is and AN EMBARESSMENT TO THIS 4K LION.
3- Remove the useless suggested apps panel from app drawer. Make this phone highly customizeable as in YOUR RIVAL SAMSUNG PHONES......
4- FOR GOD SAKE TAKE THIS PHONE BUSINESS SERIOUSLY.

THESE BUGS AND FEATURES HAD TO BE ADDRESSED. Else who cares, i should better move on to real smartphone brand like LG OR SAMSUNG, ETC
