&lt;P&gt;Welcome to the community.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;If your device is bent in any way this could definitely cause the issues you have described here, as everything inside the phone such as the PCB (Printed Circuit Board) and the battery would also be bent.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;If the PCB inside the phone is&amp;nbsp;bent or broken as a result,&amp;nbsp;any connections on to it could be out of place, such as the SIM contact point.&lt;/P&gt;

      <title>M4 aqua twist</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;after only 2 months took phone back to shop, getting, no sim, no service. on top of handset, rebout and worked for a while, noticed in shop it was twisted/bend, when put on desk. suspected twist interferring with sim card contact... hear of m4 aqua heating up .&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Could this cause handset to twist. or any other ideas.. handset is now sent to sony for assesment.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;thank you for your responce, cameron t, i am hoping they do not class it as physical damage, as will not be under warrenty. but now i am confident as to cause of issue. never had a phone twist b4.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
