Camera problem and Storage problem (Xperia V LT25i)

Hello to everybody, I'm new here, first time I wrote something.

I would like to start saying that I like this phone for many reason, but in this 2 years I had many problems too.

Sony care replace the terminal 2 times, reboot issues, and gps low performance.

Now I would like to write about 2 strong problems that affects this phone and without this for me is the perfect phone, already now is faster than new terminals.

I have Tim brand build n. 9.2.a.1.210, no updates from this build.

First: Phone rear camera when is in high iso mode, I mean with few light or better with no sun light (not in night mode), is impossible to see, during the video recording you can seeing severals bands frequency, as it was an old crt monitor, if you see it you will think that it's impossible that this camera comes from Sony technologies.

Second: Maybe the most critical problem of this phone is the internal memory, I really can't belive it.

If i paid for a phone with 8gb i want an internal memory of 8gb or 6gb as happenes when os cut some memory.

Instead I have only 1,9gb of internal memory with os apps load on it, you can imagine today with so many heavy apps which is the result. I can't instal no new apps and I have anytime the fear to update my apps becuase I will see storage full message.

That's is unacceptable!! Any tries to move the apps in the second memory, the 4gb left from the phone storage, is reduce at only few apps, not all the apps are available to move on it.

So i hope that Sony service assistance can give me a support to be more proud about this phone because in these condictions is only a delusion.

Could you upload video samples to youtube and post them here

I understand your frustration but there's not much to suggest here, you could move all the music, pictures and videos to the SD card, you could root the phone > partition an SD card and use an app2sd card app.

I tried your link2sd solution, is the last beach and does not resolve anything because if is true that I liberate memory at the same time android think that the apps occupy internal memory and give me anyway the message that the memory is full.

Why sony can't give me the possibility to unite the two memories?

And I hope to be follow from the support to update to the last version fw 9.2.b.2.5 to correct camera bug.

This is a user based forum, which means that if you need official support you have to contact your Local support

with that said the Xperia V will not get any future updates

Latest available software: 9.2.A.2.5

Release started: 2014-06-24

The phone was released December 2012 it is now EOL. The alternative its a Custom ROM, check the XDA Forum.

Indeed my branded phone doesn't update to the last fw.

Thank you for your suggestion. I belived that my case was important for everybody who have my same phone and maybe the same problems. Also I belived that official support could help me through this forum.

If your phone is or was network branded/sim locked now or before, and you have not received the update, then your carrier/network did NOT approved the software, why? sometimes networks don't want to invest resources on old devices, this could be the case.

As for memory you will not find further support here as there's nothing wrong with your phone, but what you requested could be done with a custom ROM, check the XDA forum.

Nothing is wrong but it is a shame! Could you belive to leave only 2gb for the system and all the apps you need?

Also if the camera does not works you have to fix it!

The Xperia V was released many years ago, when app and game developers weren't that lazy and they try hard to keep the size of their apps, games, widgets to a minimum, now they are sloppy and well you've seen how big the apps are.

Solved.
Forced update to last firmware Sony released, not branded available. This fixed the camera issues.
Root the phone.
Take the link2sd system to bypass the memory, now the phone leave to install more then the internal memory, befere even if u used link2SD when is reached the max memory phone signal memory is full.
