Xperia SP Touchscreen Issue

I have Xperia SP [ C5302 ] for more than 2 years. Few days earlier,Its touchscreen became unresponsive. Unresponsiveness occcurs -

1. When phone is unattended for some time

2. When phone is kept inside bag for some time

Sometimes in some region touchscreen responds but When we reboot it, It works fine for the time we use it and once it is kept aside for sometime again the problem arises

Firstly I thought degrading to 4.1.2 can solve the issue but it didn't so I again upgraded it to 4.3 after some days again the same problem

Do anyone know any solution on this?? Does rooting it will possibly solve the problem

does it persist when your phone is on safe mode? /t5/FAQ/How-to-boot-your-phone-into-safe-mode/td-p/348008

can you access the hidden menu and perform a screen/display test if this fails more likely it is a hardware problem. (*#*#services#*#*) on dialer to open.
