Unlocking

Trying to unlock my aqua so I can use any network sim card and been told I need to flash the phone as there is (0) next to sim lock settings I have the unlock code from network provider just need to know how to do it

Flashing won't help. You need to contact your Local support in order to reset the counter. See this thread:

Contact local support they told me to download a software fix but still no different

Perhaps you asked or they understood something else. you have to tell them that you want the SIM lock code so you can use it with a different code.

They probably thought that you were locked out of your phone and needed a code to unlock it, which they suggested to reset the phone.

I have a code from my network provider but when putting in another sim it dosnt ask for a code

The code can only be acquired either by your carrier/network or online, perhaps if you borrow a SIM card from a different carrier.

I have a different carrier sim and it isn't giving me an option to input a code when input it in the phone I got the code from my carrier but just no option to put it in anywhere

If you have flashed the phone maybe that could be the reason.

Not done anything to the phone is virtually brand new

I haven't tried putting in a code yet as there wasn't an option

You wrote yourself there is (0) tries left, not sure if that will allow you to insert any other code.

Open the dialer and dial *#*#7378423#*#* and then select Service info -> SIM lock. What does it say here more than "0"? Do you see anything between the []?
