I am a new owner of Z5P but have lost all 4k photos and video contents that are factory installed. Is there anywhere i can re-download them?

Really? I heard at least some variants/regions have pre-installed 4k demos, such as NTT Docomo model in Japan. What a big loss of opportunity for Sony to demonstrate the best smartphone screen in the current market before others will follow.

I totally agree, I know which videos you are referring to, there's one of someone surfing, you can download it but its more than 1GB, I think that's the reason they were not included.

I have downloaded some 4k videos and they are all nothing but stunning! However, surfing one by Sony is laggy - video pauses for 3-4 seconds every 6 to 8 seconds and it skips the paused scene. It is so annoying and cannot stand watching it. It is saved on device so it should not be a reading speed issue.

Few other videos also have similar issue but much less frequent and lag is shorter.

Does anyone have this issue? I do not want to belive the smartphone with 4k display cannot handle 4k video, but maybe my unit is faulty?

I stored in Movies folder in the internal storage. I will see if the issue persists after re-downloading.

Did you download directly by Z5P or by PC then transferred to Z5P?

Maybe the file is damaged or corrupted during download as the connection here is slow and unstable.

I have tried re-downloading many times but no success.

It seems the pauses in the video slightly differ at each download, so it may not be the issue with the content source.

My downlodading speed is slow as (like under 1mbps) but could this be the cause of the problem?

The video Alpha 7RII demo and Trip around Mexico has no issues but Aquarium has slight pause at some fixed points, Surfing vide has 4-5 seconds pause/skip each few seconds.

Philips's demo video is on constant slow down and skips all frames during pauses.

Could this be because of my bad downloading environment, source issue or something else...??

You are told that downloading during weekend will be problematic. I managed to download better using a computer and then move them to the device.

I also get these pauses and stutters with the videos from that site.
But I know my phone is good for 4k 60fps.
I will try a later time.

I've downloaded surfing one on Monday but same problem.

It skipped at different point so it shouldn't be the original file issue...

It really does need to be in internal storage as uliwooly is asking above, the bit rate is mega high for that particular video..
