Alarm Vibration Not Working

Hi! Ever since I've updated to marshmallow I'm having a lot of problems with my alarm clock. I usually like to keep it with no sound and only on vibrate so in the morning it doesn't wake up any one else. But now the alarms don't vibrate at all.
I know the vibration works because the keypad vibrates as well as it vibrates when the phone rings but not in alarms.
I've tried putting the volume up, I've checked the vibrate option, I've also dug deep into the Do not disturb options and checked it but no use. I've also cleared the data in the clock app to no positive results. I've also installed the Vibration Alarm app from PlayStore but in that also it's not vibrating. I'm not sure what to try next. Any suggestions.

try to set your alarm in safe mode.. make sure the phone is not in battery saving mode, and the vibration is ticked on. does it work?

try to set your alarm normally, but set the alarm sound settings to the lowest settings. it will still cause the alarm vibrate only.
