Hi, I have a feeling this is me not understanding something rather than a technical issue but any advice would be great...
I have z5 premium. Often I will go to use the camera and either a) I tap the screen and nothing happens, repeatedly (I have touch capture on) or b) the actual shutter button that us displayed on the screen just disappears. Often I'll give if a fair few seconds, move about etc, and suddenly it'll allow me to take a pic. Really frustrating tho. Anyone know if this is an issue with my settings or anything???

I've seen others with similar issues because of a glass cover, how to test it

settings > about phone > diagnostics > test > test the screen

first with the glass then you can remove it and check again

So when we all take off our screen protectors and protective covers and drop our phones by mistake, are Sony going to repair them under warranty?.. I think not!!

I know you are trying to help and give advice and it's appreciated, but this is all very frustrating

That test is no use for the issue we are having. I can only test the Touchscreen by clearing the photo by running my finger over the screen.

We need a test that involves typing?

I've restarted my camera and it *seems* to be sorted. If it continues I'll try the test without screen protector though...don't fancy taking it off until need be as there'll be no getting it back on again.

I have a Xperia Z5 Premium and I have a protective film and I don't experience this issue, don't take me out of context, the first thing is to try to figure out whats causing the issue and then its find a solution.

Keep us updated, just wondering does the protective glass cover the proximity sensor?
