This exact same problem was an issue that was in the Xperia Concept firmware for the Z3, so I am quite suprised it has passed to the official firmware release.

There is no conflicting software it is purely an issue that Sony have to resolve the same way they did in the Concept.

Audio volume drop down menu disappeared after Marshmallow update

After the Marshmallow update I lost the possibility to modify all three volumes (notifications, media, alarms) by using the vol buttons and selecting the drop down menu in the volume adjustment popup I had before Marshmallow (Z5 compact here but it's probably a common issue).
Now adjusting the volume with the physical buttons makes the popup appear but without the down arrow which opened the other 2 volume bars.
To lower the Media volume before entering a media app I must navigate inside the settings menu.
Is this change intentional? If so I don't understand the underlying idea.

I repaired with xperia companion but this bug just remains, I've noticed that it came after that last update 32.1.A.1.185, because before it didn't happened. For me it dissapears when I play game and the device gets little hotter. I have all latest updates on z5 and tried everything to remove this but it just keep getting back. You can only solve this if you restart the device or change theme, nothing else helps. I really hope they will repair this.
