&lt;P&gt;Welcome to the community.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;This often happens when the circut is being completed somehow, usually due to dust or moisture in the headphone jack as uliwooly suggests.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;If there is something in there, you can give it a shake to try and dislodge it, or use a can of compressed air.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
