&lt;P&gt;Can you also confirm if you cut the SIM card down to size to fit your M2?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I tried the safe mode and it still doesnt work.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Yeah the is no code nothing at all.&lt;BR /&gt;Some times when i enter the sim card i doesnt recognize it at all.&lt;BR /&gt;I have to restart the phone a few times untill it accepts the sim card and then when it accepts it after a few minutes it says there is no sim card.&lt;BR /&gt;I fount out that it is because of the carrier.&lt;BR /&gt;Many say the solution is to install an unbranded firmware.&lt;BR /&gt;What should i do?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;I think this may be the issue. If your SIM card has been cut down, there may be minor damage to it, causing the phone to be unable to read it correctly.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;Ask for a replacement SIM of the correct size from your network carrier and see if it's any better.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;It's very strange that it is recognising the SIM and not cancelling it for up to an hour.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;I would still recommend trying another SIM as a test but if your are on a different network to the one the phone is branded with, then&amp;nbsp;&lt;A href="https://community.sony.co.uk/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/202"&gt;@uliwooly&lt;/A&gt;&amp;nbsp;will be correct here.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;There is no official way that I can advise to flash different firmware onto your handset, I'm afraid.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;Rooting your phone or unlocking your bootloader always has the potential to cause damage to your handset which is why I am unable to officially support it.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;The network that the phone is locked to may have access to the code to unlock it from their network. You will have to contact them and see what they say. Often there is a charge for unlocking a handset from a network, but it is up to them.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
