vivaz pro screen backlight issue

Hi, i have my a vivaz pro for about 8 months now. Earlier this year (about February) the phone started showing a problem.

The screens backlight plus the call keys remain on even when the phone is locked.

Immediately after locking the phone (double-tap on the lock key) the screen's light just dims a bit, then after a while it turns like dark gray but there's light from it, as well as from the 3 buttons (call buttons) which don't go off.

It's draining my battery v. quickly.

I tried switching the phone off, but nothing has changed. I even re-installed the latest firmware from SE which i already had but nothing has changed also.

What's the solution for this problem?

Try a master reset.

Re-installing the firmware last night already resetted my handset to factory form.

is the Master reset any different from that reset?!!

Re-installing the software is not the same as a Master reset, so give it a go and see if it helps.

Try re-installing the software again, or perform a phone repair via PC Companion, but if this keeps recurring you'll need to send it to a repair centre.

Im facing the same problem here. If I do the master reset, will i lose all my files and contacts from my phone?

Yes you will, but it will not affect the memory card and SIM card memory, only the phone memory, so make sure you backup your phone memory data on PC/PC companion/memory card/My Phone Explorer first.

I had same problem, I removed my battry and It worked!
