&lt;P&gt;That's not accurate, the update does not affect the SD card, it will delete everything in the internal storage but the SD card should not be affected. use a micro SD adapter and RECUVA on your PC to recover the files, that's assuming that your SD card its not corrupted.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;


&lt;P&gt;on a side note, was the SD card encrypted?&lt;/P&gt;</description>
