Hi everyone

I had the same problem during the last few days. I tried different headsets as Samsung, Apple, and some others but with no luck. Surprisingly the tablet viborates when some of these are plugged in and the radio turns on but still the message is there and it is not possible to change channels!!

Here is how my problem was fixed:

We bought Sony hands-free headphones and just in the first plug-in everything worked fine!!

It seems unfair but they do it; making only Sony assessories compatible with Sony tablet.

But for your info I think technically it is related to the 3.5 mm jack material (golden color rather than silver) and the impedance/resistance (32 ohm) at the junction.

I hope it helps.

Don't know if anyone else has had the same problem. Went to use the FM radio on my z4 tablet and plugged in my headphones and it still said to plug it in. I tried to listen to music and the sound still came out of the tablet speakers.

Hi,

Do you have the possibility to try another pair of headphones/headset to see if same thing happens?

Tried me PlayStation elite headphones and they worked but had to be really forced in. I'll try me normal inear ones later.

Mosidig. I really had to push the 3.5 jack into the port. I will try my normal inear headphones (also Sony) and get back.

Right this is a strange one. I've put in my normal inear Sony headphones and they don't work. I've looked at both jacks they look both the same. Triedthe ps4 elite ones and they work. I don't know why this is.
