It will not reconnect to it, and will drop from time to time as well.

I got my Z5 and updated to 6.0 right away, so I'm not sure if it's related to 6.0 or no. But please fix it ASAP. THX

there is nothing to narrow down.

It's the phone, not the wifi.

I tried reset the phone. I don't believe PC companion can do the magic to complete fix a wifi drop issue especially I found a lot of other people is having this issue as well.

Welcome to the community.

There's a lot of reasons that this could be happening. There may be electronic equipment interferring with the signal, an IP conflict etc, and indeed it could be the phone. We really do need more information to determine what the issue is.

Does this happen on any other WiFi network, or just your home network?

Hi Cameron,

please see my reply below

There's a lot of reasons that this could be happening.

There may be electronic equipment interferring with the signal,

It can't be a electronic equipment interferring. My Z3, Z3 tablet, ipad, Galaxy note 12, anything in my home use wifi works perfectly fine.

an IP conflict etc

It's DHCP. I am a network admin. I know all my devices's IP, and I can get logs

and indeed it could be the phone.

Considering the bluetooth issue, it should be the baseband.

We really do need more information to determine what the issue is.

Does this happen on any other WiFi network, or just your home network?

It happens on my home network, my coperate network, and also the public wifi I went to

Thank you for providing that information. Based on all of that, @uliwooly's suggestion of a software repair is the correct one. The software repair is not the same as a factory reset as it completely reinstalls the OS on the handset.

Since this happened only after installing Marshmallow my best guess is something did not install correctly with the update.

While other people are having similar issues, there's no way to be sure that it is the exact same issue. I personally err on the side of caution and complete all the troubleshooting even if it appears to be the same thing as someone else, because you can really never know.

I didn't try it on Lollipop

I will try reinstall software later tonight.

Do you have any update on the blutooth audio stutter fix? that's a function I use everyday. thanks

There's a big thread about it here. Unfortunately, there is nothing consistent between any users so there could be multiple potential solutions to that.

I reinstalled using sony PC app. then reset again to the factory default.

Looks like the wifi issue has been fixed.

Now Z5 will reconnect to the saved wifi

One glitch I noticed is, I connected my phone to both wifi and blutooth. Then I turned off blutooth. The wifi gets dropped for a few second thus my game dropped. Nothing big, but worth to mention.

The music stutter over blutooth stream persist. Please report to DEV and let me know if you need more information.

I suspect that's more down to rebooting the phone than resetting to factory defaults. I have slightly different WiFi issues since the Marshmallow upgrade, but they seem to disappear for a some hours to around a day after a reboot, and then they happen again.
