I am also experiencing the same issue
U have tried soft reset of the phone also and it is no help
It is random that phone will switch off at any battery percentage
It needs to be connected to power source to power it on and then it shows the actual battery percentage.
I have tried Ultra Stamina mode also on the recommendation of Sony to rule out hardware issues and it works fine there as it works on minimalistic and basic phone features

I had run the phone only in the normal mode without any apps and the issues exists which proves the issue to be with. 236 release

Does anyone has any resolution yet?
Is Sony support reading this blog?
I am unable to use my phone at all and I have to carry battery power bank all the time

Please help with the resolution as my phone is out of warranty also

Same problem here also. Glad to hear I'm not the only one.

Battery gets to 30 to 40% and then immediate drop to 1% if using camera or video etc. Plug into charge and phone slowly increases charge may say 5 hours to fully charge. 30 min later fully charged but only showing 80% in power management. Phone then quickly drops to 80% and whole cycle starts again

I'm still having limited issues with battery drain. As I'm travelling at the moment I've no access to pc companion to try and repair. Two days ago battery dropped from 80 to 1 as I was using album to view some photos. Not sure if this was the issue as previous times I was either in camera or album?

I've also been seeing an exclamation mark at the side of the WiFi logo so I think it's having a few problems with that. Turned off WiFi and the battery lasts alot longer so am now thinking the issue is possibly with Google services trying to run in background or simply not connecting

My phone contract is up for renewal soon, and I'm tempted not to get another Sony as I've had so many battery issues with it. It's a shame as it's quite a neat phone
