Phone is slow/lagging

5 seconds to make a call from dialer
Freeze dialer make wrong call easily
Bloodly slow camera and photo app

I see no excuse for a flagship smartphone like this. Which even wrost than Chinese made cheap XiaoMi phone.

also, did you transferred your old txts and call logs to this phone?

any antivirus or taskiller or battery apps?

Do you experience the same while on >>> safe mode ?

2. I have my phone data transfered from an old iPhone 6, all SMS, call log

3. The antivirus comes along the phone has been uninstalled and no taskiller or battery apps is using

4. Can I know how do I turn on safe mode?

That's probably the reason the phone is lagging, you should not sync all your old messages, the preloaded messaging app will display ALL the texts which slow down the phone, unlike iPhone's messaging app or whatsapp that only load few messages per conversation.

Thanks uliwooly, I can try to do a full backup and remove the message to see any improvement. However, if this work, it proves that Sony is not doing a good job here. Or as may be I am comming from iPhone world that expecting slippery smooth operation is highest piorety to anything.

the preloaded messaging app it's not the best, I've been posting about this since the X10, but there are myriad options on the play store, you know, you could just just sync your messages with Google and have them stored on the clouds

As for messaging apps, google messenger its a good option, you can use hangouts (its' already preloaded).

Thanks for your recommendation, I have backup and removed the SMS and installed google messanger. Let's see any improvement on these days and will return back!
