After switching on my phone all I get is a phone font with access to the camera, and an option to use the phone for "emergency" calls. I have no apps at all both preloaded and downloaded how can I rectify this I really need my contacts urgently

Is your phone locked? can you access the contacts app?

The phone doesn't appear to be locked as I have acces to the camera and numbers on the phone work ok. There are simply no apps being displayed at all. The phone was working fine yesterday morning although I was getting the low memory message and I was looking at the memory in settings, I then switched it off when I went back to the phone the problem had occurred

That's quite odd, what if you restart the phone once more, perhaps its on safe mode

Hi I've tried both safe mode and normal mode and I have the same screen showing for both modes. Just a bank on numbers a la a phone keyboard with a small green phone icon towards the bottom with an Emergency Call icon at the side. I'm beginning to wonder if I have touched something inadvertantly yesterday whilst looking at the memory section in settings ????

I have noticed that on start up I can swipe the screen down and a box appears with the time in it, swipe to the left and I get another box with a large + in it! swipe to the right and I get another box with the phone icon in it.

Thanks for those that tried to help me out with problem I had recently. Although it did not result in an instant fix it would have done if I was a little bit more tech savvi. Once again thanks for your time and efforts
