Water damage

I recently dropped my Xperia z3 compact down the toilet and took it out straight away and dried it off, all the ports were securely shut and it was working fine to begin with. However after a while the buttons stopped working and then the screen just went blank. Would I still be in warranty as I've had the phone for less than a year and it the description it does specify it's waterproof?

I'm sorry to hear that, contact your Local support to get it inspected, since you dropped it in the toilet perhaps there are cracks on the phone.
