Hey there, has anyone noticed the BIG delay the Z5P needs to build up the home screen when the recent apps screen has been cleared?

In my case, it almost took 4 seconds to build up.

I have asked the Sony people on Twitter and they told me to exchange the sim (WUT?), try it in safe mode, remove apps and use the Sony diagnostics app. All without result.

Perhaps, the Sony people here can help me or the community.

I have been waiting for this phone, it has all the features I like.

All but one thing, the Quality Control from Sony. The amount of complaints, OMG!

I hope ALL the complaints can be fixed with one big software update.

Do you guys think, this is enough reason to return the phone and ask my money back? I bought it at the big MM in the Netherlands.

Let me know.

Sure. I have something better. I cleared everything, I only opened apps which were on the phone : play store, chrome, dialler.
I opened one, recent apps, closed it and rebuild time was ok.
I opened two apps, recent apps etc., etc. and etc.
The rebuild time increased with every extra app opened to approx max 4 seconds.

This is ridiculous!

That seems strange, which apps are causing that? Did you experienced the same while on safe mode?

Any taskillers or antivirus apps or clean master?

Theres definently a performance issue, given that this phone has 8cores 64bit processing along with 3GB of ram it still performs poorly even against the normal Z5! And the Galaxy note5 beats it severly...

What is going on with Sony? Sort out the software! Ive dont benchmark tests and theres a software issue with Sony.

I had a play about with my phone. Opened up different configuration of apps, amounts etc. The longest I recorded was 3 seconds.

For me personally, 1 - 2 seconds is fine. 4 seconds is long for this standard of phone. Generally though, mine was instantaneous or 1 second.

I'd suggest a reboot but no-one wants to do that if they don't want to and it might not make a blind bit of difference. The phone does seem laggy in places. I'm kind of hoping there is a Sony update soon. It is still a very new device so there will be glitches etc.

The Blackberry Priv has been updated every 10-14 days or so, ironing out this and that.

Oh, and in addition, like GokuSS4 I've ran about 6 different benchmarks and it's quite depressing. 2, which I think were Geekbench and Antutu had the Z3, HTC One M9 to name a couple being better devices. Now, that's not good.
