Background hissing when on a call

I just got a new sony z3, really like the phone, however major problem, im getting really bad static hissing in the background, really anoying.

Had the orginal sony Z before and that didn't have any issues with the calls.

Is this a faulty handset? i haven't changed any sound settings in the phone.

could you boot on safe mode and check again?

also, are there electronics near you?

hi just tried booting into safe mode, hissing still there.

there was my laptop, so i went into another room, hissing still there.

im going to install call recorder app, to see if it will record the issue.

Settings > about phone > status > signal strength > what do you see?

also, how old is the SIM card?

same card is about 2 months old.

ive got the recordings done, done recording in wav, 3gp, amr, strangely the wav doesn't record the hissing, the other 2 formats do show it.

just discovered when playing music tracks back i hear the hissing as well, from the earphone speaker, its as if the bass is set to high ?

That's rather odd, you could repair the phone with PCC but I'm not sure if it'll make a difference.

honestly i can't see it making a difference, i think its more hardware issue.

the phone is only 2 days old, i'll take it back and get it swapped for another.

just hope its not a common issue from what ive been reading online..

i tried pc compainon reset, but still didn't resolve, i'm getting it swapped tomorrow.
