Do you have the same issue on any other WiFi router/network?

And to be sure, have you restarted your router and tried to change the WiFi channel?

Try starting your phone in safe mode and see if the issue is the same.

In safe mode the singal is much better without the third party applications.

You will have to find the culprit that's causing this issue.

@kmano1, so this would indicate that a third party application is causing the problem. There's a couple of options here.

First, I suggest is to update everything. Go to Settings > About Phone > Software Update and make sure you have the latest firmware. Next, update all your downloaded apps in the play store.

If this doesn't work you can either start going through your installed apps and uninstall them one by one, testing after each one to identify the culprit as uliwooly said, or alternatively run a software repair which will completely reset your handset. If you do the software repair just try to test after each app you reinstall to identify which one causes the problem.
