Z5 Compact / MDR 1A-DAC compatibility

Hello,

I have recently purchased a Z5 Compact to replace my Z3 Compact. I have since been unable to use it to play music on my MDR-1A-DAC headphones. I haven't been able to find a list of devices compatible with my headphones (but both are certified to work with the Hi Res Audio technology).

How can I know whether the phone or the headphones need repairing ?

NB: I don't have other phones that I can try my headphones on. Other headsets work fine on my phone but they all use the jack port instead of the micro usb port.

Hi,

I'm afraid i'm not familiar with these headphones as they are not from Sony Mobile but Z5 Compact will not identify USB-devices automatically like Z3 Compact so it could be that.

After connecting your headphones, try to go to Settings -> Device connection -> USB Connectivity -> Detect USB device and see if that helps.
