Z3 auto-restart

Hello,

I'm using my Z3 (D6603) with 23.4.A.1.264 and I'm very happy with it.

I've noticed though the following: checking in "About Phone" ->"Diagnostics" The indication "Time since last restart" turns red after 10 days without restart and it seems that the phone restarts automatically at about 12-13 days.

Is there any limitation and we have to restart the phone every 10 days?

I have a question. When I asked about the same issue how come no one was able to tell me they were able to replicate this or escalate?? The whole issue with random rebooting is getting very very annoying.

Can't really answer for others, but if I replied and I wasn't able to replicate this, perhaps I didn't had the device with me at the time and/or was testing this.

So you finally let your phone run for several days like I and others told you in that thread? Is it official now, the z3 reboots on its own due to a bug in the firmware.

I honestly think it's a bug. My phone never used to do this. If everything else is working on the phone except for these reboots it has to be something in the fw.

I have multiple Xperias and I do multiple things with them, so yeah, I finally left the phone and I was able to recreate it, I'm waiting for an answer

Still having problems with rebooting randomly. Just today I had one when I went to turn WiFi off. Phone became unresponsive for a few seconds then soft boot. It shows a big gap in the battery history graph. My last reboot was on Jan 6th. BTW I just updated Xperia keyboard and What's New app right before this happened. 😞

Mine rebooted while I was watching a video on YouTube. This is the first time it rebooted while being actively used. It lasted 8 days before this reboot.

BTW: Do you know the meaning of the "Actual running time" entry?

I have a question about the "actual running time"

My phone did a soft boot yesterday, and I have rebooted it myself the day before but if you look below it says actual running time "6 days" How is this possible when clearly it has not been running for 6 days, in fact currently it says up time is at 34 hours.

Hello,

This morning I had another soft boot (system incident) my phone went 7 days without incident, and then as soon as I went to wake my phone up it restarted. I still get the gap in the battery graph but what is strange is WiFi should not be on when my phone is in standby. But you can clearly see below that it was on during the morning. And why does my phone say actual running time 7 days when it clearly has not been running for 7 days. After you restart your device or it restarts on it's own, should that not reset?
