data turns itself off Z3 compact

stamina mode is not on

data limit is not enabled

sim is good

factory reset the phone

ever since a Z3 update a few months back my mobile data stops working. it doesn't say it is off but internet or data (mms) fail to load and it says that it is not connected to the internet. I have to turn it off and on again for it to work then it turns off again in 5-10 minutes. This is getting really annoying since I run a business and do not get notifications when I receive new emails. No, the data doesn't turn off when the phone is asleep, it comes and goes even in the middle of a skype call or browsing the internet. Any idea of what it might be? by the way, the last update sucked a lot, no idea what you were trying to fix sony, but you broke more in the process.

edit: no it is not the data connection, full bars here! this only started happening right after that horendous update. all apps were deleted, phone was factory reset numerous times and problem still persists.

Settings, about phone, status, signal strength, what do you see? How old is the SIM CARD?

carrier is T-Mobile

That's poor network coverage, is it a nano sim card or did you trimmed it?

nano, never trimmed it. as I said I don't think it is a coincidence that as soon as my phone updated one morning the data stopped dropping immediately a few months back. I thought I'd figure it out by now, but here I am.

nevermind, it turned off again, although it took longer for it to do so than other times 😞 please don't tell me this is a non fixable issue. I don't want to shell out 400$ for a new smart phone
