Z1 won't turn back on.

Hello

i have a serious problem with the phone (z1 compact), it suddenly went out, and can not be turned. I tried to restore factiry settings, with the PC Companion, but not working.

I don't know what to do.

Hi @LluisG,

I'm sorry to hear this.

Have you tried charging the phone for 2-3 hours and then tried turning it on again? Do the LED light shine when you connect the charger? You can also try pressing the volume up (+) key and the power key together at the same time for about 10 seconds and see if the phone vibrates three times quickly.

When charging, the LED light flashes red.

I tried restarting with the red button next to sim, and with the start and volume button, but still does not turn.

Now it's charging, in few hours i'll try again

I have the same or a similar problem.

last week I saw that my battery was running out in the evening even though I charge it over night in the dock.

then on thursday last week, I saw my battery was on 15% by mid-morning and the device was running hot.

so I shut down and restarted the handset.
now it won't start up at all. it gets half way through and crashes and tries again.

I can't reset through the sony companion, I can't get into the software to restart

it's not bootloader unlocked, so I can't do much there.

any suggestions as to how to reset the software on my phone and see if the issue can be rectified?

My similar problem has been resolved for the time being.

Sony support on Facebook suggested a full reset from PC companion which I was unable to do until I followed these instructions very carefully.

@LluisG, I suggest that you also try a software repair using PC Companion as your next step.

hello all,

i face the same problem , my device is charging when it reach to 50% i turn on the device it give message that the device check the program in androide then it hang , then it shutdown by it self , then i try to turn this on again i cant , the device is black and no response for the charger and no led is on , please help me

I'm sorry to hear that @le2.

Have you tried pressing the volume up (+) key and the power key at the same time for 5-10 seconds as well? If that doesn't work I suggest that you try a software repair using PC Companion.

I have the same problem. It turned itself off - it was on the charger was charging? the LED was flashing red with a black screen I tried turning it off & on but this didn't work . tried many times unaccountably after wasting hours screen returned momentariliy to show that while it had been on charge for about 4 hours -it hadn't charged at all.

This phone has been trouble since the day I bought it. (Had nokias for 20 years without ANY trouble & a 2nd hand motorola for 8 years without any trouble). I don't understand the randomness of its failures.

Sorry to hear that @roger4. Have you tried what has been suggested above? If so then I suggest that you contact your Local support for information on how you can get your phone examined further at an authorised service center.
