So the MMS read report will not help in this case.

Hello everyone
I read all the topics about delivery report but my question is different.

I turned the delivery report on and the tick is showen when it is delivered and on message details it shows delivered. But the phones thay I used before when I show message details it shows the delivery time also and when the message is received it will give notification that the message has been received and no need to go to message and check if it was received or not with even no delivery time

Why are these 2 features not found in Xperia z3 dual?(delivery time and notification)?

That's not phone dependant but network dependant, contact them regarding this.

No it is not network dependent. I use the same network on other phone and get a delivery report notification and when I press the message details I can see the delivery time.

I am sure of that and if I have little doubt of that I won't post my problem here.

Thanks for your suggestion but it is not a network dependent.

@zeking if message is not delivered (while delivering) it´s shown as faded. after delivery it become bright. so there´s no need to chceck by long pressing on current message.

What you are referring its sending > sent message, it doesn't mean that it has been received nor viewed, I can send a message and it goes through, hence the change of color as you've pointed out, but the other person might have the phone off or airplane mode, there's no way for me to know when and if it was received.

tested right now:

i´ve sent message to my second number (mobile is turned off). sent message on my z3c is still shown as faded. after turning on second phone it becomes light... so that´s sign that message has been delivered (former check icon).

Furthermore you can show message details at any time and get the exact delivery time of the sent SMS.

but in my xperia z3 dual I can only know if it is delivered when I go to the sms and by the bright or dark signs you mentioned and by showing message details it only says delivered or not, with no delivery time as other phones in addtion that you will not be noticed by a notification when the message is delivered so you must check it each time in the messaging app to see if it is bright or dark.

Is it clear now???

I looked into my phone and can't find detailed delivery reports too. When I press and hold a message I can get more details screen but it only states if message was delivered or not.

Looking into settings menu there is an option to get MMS read reports but I haven't tried it yet.

The feature you mentioned - notification when someone actually received a message was present in most old Nokia phones since 5110 but I haven't seen it on any recent Android Xperia, at least in default messaging app.
