WiFi and timer

I have recently bought my Z3 compact, moving from Samsung to Sony. I am having a couple of issues. One of them is the WiFi which a lot of people seem to be having issues with since the latest upgrade. We have two routers/networks in our house, one downstairs and one upstairs, because the downstairs router does not reach all of the upstairs rooms. My phone will not connect to the network upstairs. It says authentication error. It connects just fine to the downstairs network. My computer, my old phone, my housemates devices all still connect to the upstairs network so it seems to be an issue between my new phone and the network. It seems a lot of people are experiencing similar problems. Will Sony be fixing this in the next update?

My WiFi also doesn't always function when the screen goes to sleep. When I wake my phone up I have a bombarding of notifications. And yes 'Keep WiFi on during sleep' in settings is set to 'always'.

Also - one of the things I really miss from my Samsung is the timer remembering the latest time it was set for. I use my phone timer a lot in training and I'm finding it really annoying to constantly have to input the same time. Is this something that can also be added in the next update?

Regarding notifications, do you have Stamina mode enabled? as this would normally be the reason for this
