New owner - display issues

Hi all,

Received a new z4 tablet and have gone through the software updates as normal.

One thing I am concerned about is I am not finding the screen to be very bright or vivid. Looking at the sample pictures from the album appear quite 'washed'.

Any solution for this? Or is this a faulty model?

Even watching Netflix or an HD YouTube video doesn't seem sharp.

A screenshot would be nice, but I am guessing that you may have a video display issue.

Probably best to return it if still under return policy or contact Sony.

Not sure if it's normal I ll take a picture to help

When you watch Netflix, or view images do you find colour to be quite washed?

HD video won't look sharp, it's being upscaled to 2K which is less effective than 1080p to 4k.
Type 4k into youtube and see how that looks.
Also make sure x-reality is on in display settings.

Fyi, I would never say washed if someone asked me to describe my screen, it's very, very vivid and crisp.

I did a power cycle completed some other updates and video seems a lot better now.

Plus that 4k video on YouTube looks great
