Hello,

I am having the exact problem described in this post /t5/Xperia-Z1-Compact/Wifi-Issue-Slow-speed/td-p/774495/page/2

In the past year I have sent the device to service twice and each time they kept it for two weeks.

Each time they just did a software update and said that there is no issue.

Even if I specifically told them that I already did this and the problem persists.

I even have a colleague at work with an identical device and on the same WiFi hers works perfectly.

So it is clearly not a problem with the network.

I have narrowed it down to WiFis on 2.4 GHz, and even with this information the service department did not want to help me.

I have contacted Sony Romania and with arrogance they said that I should send it back to service.

What can I do in this case?

Can anyone form Sony Europe help me with this case?

Thank you

This is user led forum so you may have trouble to escalate this using forum but if you are within 24 months period of purchase try EU consumer law and return device for repair (and possibly refund) to the shop and insist that device should be repaired by shop not the manufacturer.
This way shop has 14 days to resolve the issue or replace the device. Check your local law regulations, they should implement this EU rule somehow.
If device is below 12 months old all faults should be considered as existing from the day of purchase and then it is a bit easier to get money back.
