Volume button stuck

The down on my volume button is stuck on, it moves but gives no tactile feedback but does cause my phone to be permanently in safe mode. Can I disable safe mode or is there some way of fixing the button? I had case mate case over it but all the other buttons are fine so not quite sure why the down volume has broken so suddenly.

Hi Rikshiner, welcome to the community.

If the volume key is stuck, every time you try and power on your handset it will boot in safe mode. The only way to fix this is to have the volume key fixed, I advise contacting your local Sony Xperia Customer Care team asap so you can have the phone repaired.
