This afternoon my tablet got updated, but since then it has been reporting "No service". At first it also reported that mobile data was disabled and it showed my usage, but it is only the WiFi model I have so if course it has no mobile data.

I can't seem to get rid of the "No service" message.

I'm getting same message after updating this afternoon. Presumably, as it's wifi only, this can be ignored?

Same problem here, on SGP511 (Tablet Z2, wifi model). And yes, I suppose it can be ignored and as such it would be a minor bug - but it's still quite annoying.

I have it too on SGP 511. After first boot I also got "Mobile transfer disabled" but after another reboot that message disappeared. Only No Servie left on the lock screen.

I have the wifi only Xperia z3 tablet and also found that wifi no longer functions after the 5.1.1 up date. It show that it is connected but has an explanation mark by the wifi signal strength indicator in the top right of the screen. So after power cycling my router and tablet which did not help I then took a look at the wifi properties and found that the tablet was trying to use an ip address that was already assigned to another appliance on my network. Tried everything to try an get the tablet to take an ip address from the dhcp server to no avail.

But I have found a work around.

Go to wifi connections in settings.

On your network use a press and long hold and a pop up menu will appear.

Select "modify network "

Check the advanced setting box.

Change the IP setting from dhcp to static

Manually enter the IP address you want it to use. (make sure it is a free ip address in your network)

Then hit save

Hope this is of help.
