Facebook App Will Not Start Or Work!

Hi There,

I recently purchased a second hand Xperia SP on a budget after getting rid of my old iPhone, apart from the phone being quite laggy in terms of basic performance i'm enjoying the system as a whole. But the only thing that doesn't seem to work is the Facebook app? The facebook logo pops up when I open the app and that's all, the logo flashes a little as if it's processing something but nothing happens. I've left my phone static for at least 10, 15 minutes and still nothing. I can't see how this can be anything but a phone issue? Any ideas?

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app?

How fast is your data/wifi connection?

Hi @GeorgeOglee,

You may not be able to uninstall the Facebook app in Xperia SP so you can also try clearing data for the app by going to Settings > Apps > All > Facebook > Clear data.

Internet connection also comes into play, as uliwooly mentioned, so make sure to try both over Wi-Fi and mobile data connection if possible.
