topic Z3C dead, no response in XPERIA archive

During regular use, my Z3C switched off suddenly. There were no symptoms of heating/slowing down or anything. Battery was recently charged to 100%, so at the time of switch off, it would've been >90%.

All this, on a 3 week old Z3C, running on latest 5.1.1 stock firmware.

The phone never responded to resetting - Power + vol up button or Orange switch next to sim tray. The phone neither charged nor got detected when connected to a computer. Even no response with wall charger as well.

Has anyone faced this issue?

I have given it to service center who said they will check for motherboard issues and if necessary replace the handset or replace just the motherboard. However, my question is how to be 100% sure that the replacement/repaired handset wont have same problem.

Try this:

Connect the phone to a wall charger, press and hold power and volume up for 10 seconds, let it charge for two to three hours, then repair it with PCC

I have tried all that is in the book... plugging in/out charger/PC with various button combinations and even the 'master' reset orange button.

The same was tried by the service personnel as well, but it was still dead!

btw, thanks for your reponse...
