Mine rebooted by itself 4 times since i bought it yesterday, device also gets very warm just with few minutes of web browsing..

Latest update fixes some overheating and camera lag issues, I recommend that you still have some random restarts after that update is to test if it happens in safe mode, if it doesn't occur there that most probably a 3rd party app is causing this.

1 random restart in 5 days is not an issue in my humble opinion, but if it's really bothering you, you can try to back up your data and perform a PC Companion Phone Repair. This will do a clean installation of the latest firmware and will also wipe your internal memory, thus eliminating any software glitches and erase all apps, then you can go re-install your apps gradually to see if one of them is causing this random restarts.

Open PC companion -> Support zone -> Phone/tablet software update -> Repair my phone/tablet (blue link style). Follow the steps given, do not connect your phone until prompted to press volume down while plugging USB cable.

I used iphone,it nearly not restart,maybe 1-2times over 3 months.So I think this device's restart is frequent.Sometime,I use a app,it restart.10 days ago,I just light the screen,this device light red and restart.It's very strange.......

Creat a core customers circle around the world.Maybe this is a good solution to this problem.I've report this problem to hk sony mobile.But I don't think it will affect.

Welcome to the community.

Sorry to hear about the issues you have been experiencing.

To add to @Quester what said, Safe Mode is a great tool to help diagnose what is going wrong with a handset, if you don’t see the symptoms when that is enabled, a third party app may have something to do with what is going wrong., So it is worth taking a look, if only as a good place to start.

Otherwise a software repair is a good solution if a software issue persists or no other troubleshooting helps.

Here's how to run the repair on PC Companion:

Install and open PC Companion then select Support Zone.
Phone Software Update.
Start.
Repair Phone
Continue
Accept data removal
Next
Wait for prepare
Select Phone
Follow the connection steps

And Bridge for Mac:

Launch Bridge for MAC without the handset connected.
On the Main Window select "Xperia > Repair Xperia Device".
Ensure the phone is charged and select "Ok" in the following window.
Select Continue on the following page.
Wait until the initialising step is finished the continue as below.

6 . Select your model of phone from the list that appears

Follow the connection steps that appear, ensuring that you are holding the relevant button down before during and after the connection phase until the update/repair begins.

You will want to start these processes with the phone powered off and disconnected from the PC.

I know how to repair it.But I really think this is the system's problem...Sometimes,I just light the screen,the phone light red and restart,many times!Yesteray,I put it beside me,without touching it!!!!It light red and restart.I'm confused!!!Only sony can really fix it by update!!!
