topic sim unlock code?? in XPERIA archive

sim unlock code??

I bought a phone of my friend and when ive put my sim in it says sim unlock code now i tried another sim and it says the same thing now i dont know how i can get my sim to work any ideas? I dont know the last sim provider so i cant call them for the code or if i call my current sim privider can they give m a code that will allow there network to work on thi new phone

Sony can't help here,you need to buy the unlock code (there are also limited number of tries to do that).

Dial *#*#7378423#*#* then open Service info then Software info and post the customization number and I should be able to tell you who the provider is unless it's been modified

I think i tried that one where there i a list with symbold next to it i cant remember the names but they all had a x next to them but the top on that said network had a 0 im hoping its no been blocked but i do have a blackberry that was blocked yet it still allowe me to put a sim and use the data whatsapp ect but im not able to make outgoing incoming calls so imbaffled really thank you for your reply

It does sound like it's hard locked by the network but if you give me the customization number then I should be able to tell you which network it's locked to so you could use a Sim from that network and have it working
