topic E4 update failed in XPERIA archive

E4 update failed

While I was updating the phone with sony companion via USB cable, a window has advised that there was a mistake, and to check the connection to the network.

I tried again the most 'times but the error persisted so I unplugged the phone that was off, I tried to turn but then stays on the black screen and logo SONY XPERIA and restart.

What should I do?

Charge the phone for an hour (wall charger) then start the update process all over again

Hi @susanL,

I'm sorry to hear this.
If you are unable to start a new update you will have to perform a software repair with PC Companion.

In PC Companion you press start on "Support Zone" > Start on "Update the phone/tablet software" > "Repair phone/tablet" (the blue clickable link in the message) > Follow these steps without having your device connected to the PC.

Follow the instruction that appears in the program and do not connect your device until this guide tells you how to connect it. The software repair will remove all data stored in the phone
