I suggest that you try to repair the phone software using PC Companion..

Before repairing your device you may want to backup your information first. Check out this topic for more information on how to.
How to backup?

If the issue should still remain I think that this needs to be examined and fixed at a repair center. For more information about how to submit your phone for repair and where, contact your local support team.

Thank you. I have tried what you suggested(Its annoying you have to then re-install/de-activate all your apps etc as they arent part of a backup!). I will give it a few days and see what happens.

Hi @jimmygrimble

I would suggest connect your device to a wall charger and then press and hold power & volume up for more than 10 seconds. Let it charge for 2 to 3 hours, even if it doesn't seem to be charging. Also you can try by plugging the usb cable as you hold volume down.
If nothing of these suggestions work, try to repair it via sony update service.

Best Regards.
