Hi,

My tablet is running fine but I noticed what seems to be a wrong behavior. I searched this forum a bit and I did not find anything relevant.

I have a Xperia Tablet Z3 compact 16 GB (4G + wifi), Android 5.1.1 (latest available in my country).

If I take a look at the memory usage, the total memory is about 11.2 GB but the total ram used by application is more thant 17 Gb.

The issue is linked to the Deezer application. I setup the application to download my music on the SD card. It is using about 9 GB on the SD card. But apparently, these 9+ GB are taken into account to compute the total memory size used by the application. That how I can have 17 GB used out of 11.2

I do not know if the issue is coming from Android, the Sony layer, the application... But on my Galaxy S5 I do not have that issue.

Here are some captures.

Is it a know issue ?

Is there any consequence ?

Thanks in advance for your answers

Dob'

Possibly an issue if it's reading the total amount of usage from both internal and external however as this isn't a Sony app then you may wish to contact the developer and see if the app has an issue differentiating between internal and external storage use

Does it mean that's the app telling to Android = Hey, I'm using that amout of memory !

This is not Android computing it ?

I honestly don't know - It could be android reading both internal and external usage for said app or it could be the app reporting to android both figures
